Preserving The Past, LLC offers professional archival and analogue-to-digital conversion (digitization) services for film, video, audio, photographs, paper documents and 3-D artifacts, adhering to best practices and ISO Standards set forth by the preservation community, including the Library of Congress, National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) and Association of Moving Image Archivists (AMIA). Our approach to collections management includes processing original elements (organize, catalogue, database, high resolution scanning, re-housing, cold storage) for access, repurposing and preservation according to best practices in archiving, ensuring permanence for future generations.
By helping our clients preserve their corporate, institutional and personal legacies, we are contributing to the preservation of our cultural heritage, enabling the dissemination of information that, due to obsolete formats and inherent deterioration, might otherwise never be seen.
